Prayer July 1 1 Samuel 13 .................... Isaiah 56-57 .................... Revelation 21-22
O Lord! Sovereign and Most Holy God! I acknowledge and worship you today for you are holy, holy, holy and you alone are worthy! Now help me to not do foolishly; but to keep your commandments that your favor may remain with me. I wait on you, O Lord.
Help me to keep justice, do righteousness. Thank you that salvation has come. Let me hold fast and keep your Sabbaths. Do not let my hand do any evil. Keep me in righteousness so that I can enter into your peace. Help me to keep a contrite lowly spirit so that you will revive my heart. Restore comfort unto me, I pray.
I long for a new heaven and a new earth—and for the new Jerusalem that I may dwell with you forever. I long for your coming! Now help me to neither add to nor take away from your word O Lord; but rather help me keep all of your commandments. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.

O Lord! Sovereign and Most Holy God! I acknowledge you and worship you for you are holy, holy, holy and you alone are worthy! Lord you work for us, for nothing can hinder the Lord from saving by many or by few. I trust in you O Lord.
I seek you daily and delight to know your ways. I pray for those that are bound and oppressed that you will undo the straps and break every yoke so that all can be free. Lord, ransom me when I do wrong and do not let me die. Let the glory of the Lord be my rear guard.
I thank you Lord that you sent the angel Gabriel to both Mary and Joseph to announce the virgin birth of Jesus Christ and to make sure that he was given the Father’s name—Jesus. Thank you for sending your son to save me from my sins. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.
Prayer July 3 1 Samuel 15 .................... Isaiah 59 ......................... Matthew 3-4
O Lord! You are the Sovereign and Most Holy God! Help me to always acknowledge and worship you for you are holy, holy, holy and you alone are worthy of worship! Lord, help me to be obedient and to refrain from rebellion and presumption. May I never reject you!
I know that your hand is not shortened and your ear is not dull of hearing; it is me and my sins that have separated me from you. The Redeemer has come and I have turned from my transgressions. Forgive me my sins! Now put your words in my mouth that I do not depart from you!
I thank you that you sent your beloved Son. Thank you that he fulfilled the promise to baptize us with the Holy Spirit and fire! Thank you that he overcame all the temptation of the devil to do the work that you sent Him to do—preaching and teaching and healing and feeding those that followed after Him. Help me to proclaim His gospel to the world. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.
Prayer July 4 1 Samuel 16 .................... Isaiah 60 ......................... Matthew 5
O Lord! Sovereign and Most Holy God! Let me not grieve over those you have rejected but rather help me to arise and do the work you have for me. Now I acknowledge and worship you; for you alone are worthy of all praise and worship!
You are my everlasting light! Thank you that your light has come! Thank you that I have found mercy from you. I have received the good news about you and the praises are to you my Lord and my God! You were forsaken and hated when you first came; but all nations will bow to you when you return. Praise be to my Lord God.
Blessed were those that heard your sermon on the mount. And blessed are all by your words. The poor in spirit, those who mourn, the meek, those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, the merciful, the pure in heart, the peacemakers, and those who overcome persecution have all been blessed by you! Help me as salt of the earth to never lose my taste—for your word; but fulfilled your purpose for me. Cleanse the lenses of my heart so that I reflect the light of the Holy Spirit to the world. Keep me in-Christ. In Jesus’ name I ask for these things. Amen.
Prayer July 5 1 Samuel 17 .................... Isaiah 61 ......................... Matthew 6
O Lord! Sovereign and Most Holy God! Help me to withstand those who defy the children of God. I pray that I will not see a giant; but rather that I will see those that are with me. I acknowledge and worship you today; for you are holy, holy, holy and you alone are worthy of my worship!
Thank you for bringing the good news to the poor, for binding the broken hearted, for proclaiming liberty to the captives, for opening the prison of those who are bound, for proclaiming the year of the Lord’s favor, and the day of vengeance of our God, and for comforting all who mourn. I will greatly rejoice in the Lord; my soul exults in my God, for he has clothed me with the garments of salvation—a robe of righteousness.
Lord help me to give back to the poor of those things you have given me when I see their need. Help me that my prayers are for your hearing and not for mine own hearing. Let me lay up true treasure in heaven where it neither rusts away nor is stolen; and let it reflect that my heart is there. Now help me to forgive those who trespass against me so that you will forgive me my every trespass. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.
Prayer July 6 1 Samuel 18 .................... Isaiah 62 ......................... Matthew 7
O Lord! You are Sovereign and you are the Most Holy God! I acknowledge and worship you today. Help me to love my brother with a love like that of Jonathan—let my actions speak love. Give me victory over those with a distressing spirit. Let me behave wisely in all of my ways.
Help me to seek your righteousness and glory. Give me a new name by the mouth of God! Your salvation has come; and I look for your appearing! Isaiah says behold his reward is with him. Scripture witness says “Behold, I am coming soon, bringing my recompense with me, to repay each one for what he has done.” Come quickly Lord Jesus!
Let me leave all judgment to the righteous Judge. Let me always remember to ask, and it will be given to me, to seek and I will find, and to knock and you will open the door. Let me always do unto others as I wish them to do to me. Lord, with help from you, the master builder, I will build my house upon the Rock. Help me to do those works that will cause you to say, “Well done good and faithful servant.” I ask these petitions in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
Prayer July 7 1 Samuel 19 .................... Isaiah 63 ......................... Matthew 8
O Lord! Sovereign and Most Holy God! I acknowledge and worship you for you are holy, holy, holy and you alone are worthy of my worship! Help me to stay on guard against those that may persecute me. And may I always escape their plans to hurt me. Let me follow you, O Lord, regardless of what those around me may try to do to me. I refuse to fear what others may do to me for my trust is in you, O Lord.
I know that you will trod the winepress of the wrath of God without anyone to help you. Help me to escape your wrath O, Lord; and grant me mercy according to the abundance of your steadfast love. In your love and in your pity you redeemed me. Help me to never again be rebellious. Help me to refrain from sinning against those who have not sinned against me.
Help me to have faith as the centurion in Capernaum had faith. Faith that your spoken word is sufficient; and to always be in awe of you! Let me not count the cost of following you; but rather follow you where ever you may lead me. Now calm the storms of life that rage around me and give me peace, I pray. I ask these petitions in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

O Lord! Sovereign and Most Holy God! I acknowledge and worship you for you are holy, holy, holy and you alone are worthy! Help me to show others the steadfast love of the Lord. And to be a true friend to others as Jonathon was to David. At peril to his own life, he saved the life of David. May I always be loyal to you and your will for my life.
I thank you that you act for those who wait for you. May I always be patient. Help me to remember your ways, O Lord. You are my Father. I am the clay in your hands. I am the work of your hands. Do not be angry with me and remember not my iniquity forever; for I am your servant.
Help me to follow you without hesitation or reservation at your command. You told many that they were healed according to their faith—and they were healed. Help to me to have that kind of faith, I pray. I thank you, Jesus, that you came to save sinners. Now forgive me my every sin. I ask these petitions in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
Prayer July 9 1 Samuel 21-22 .............. Isaiah 65 ......................... Matthew 10
O Lord! Sovereign and Most Holy God! Give us Holy bread—your word today, I pray. Let me learn when to flee and when to stand. I will stay with you, Lord. I will not be afraid for I know that you will keep me safe. May I always be aligned with those who stand for truth. I acknowledge and worship you; for you alone are worthy of praise and worship!
Lord you are ready to be sought and ready to be found if I will seek you! I pray that I will not be rebellious and follow my own devices. Help me to answer when you call and listen when you speak. Keep me from doing evil in your sight. Do not forsake me, O Lord and leave me to your wrath. Thank you for answering before I call and for hearing me while I am still speaking!
Thank you Lord that you first chose twelve disciples to learn your ways, that they could teach them to us through the word that you gave them. You gave them power over the devil and power to heal. Help me to overcome everything that comes against me. I will fear no one but you, O Lord! Now give me the words to speak when I am given the opportunity to glorify your name. I ask these petitions in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
Prayer July 10 1 Samuel 23 .................... Isaiah 66 ......................... Matthew 11
O Lord! Sovereign and Most Holy God! I acknowledge and worship you today; for you are holy, holy, holy and you alone are worthy! Help me to always seek your will before I pursue anything, Lord; for you always deliver me when I seek your first! You provide a hiding place in you, O Lord. Again, thank you God that you both hear me and answer my prayers.
No one can build a house for you O God. Thank you for making my heart your temple. Lord may I always be humble and have a contrite spirit and tremble at your word. Speak to me I pray. Thank you that your people, Israel, in this end of times has brought forth a nation in a day—just as the prophet says. Keep a hedge around Jerusalem and Israel today.
Thank you Jesus that you came—I do not have to look for another. I will come to you—give me rest I pray. Help me to do as you did, to spread your word—teach and preach in their cities! In your word I find that it was their synagogues and their cities. You did not claim this world as your home! And this world is not my home. I ask these petitions in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
Prayer July 11 1 Samuel 24 .................... Jeremiah 1 ...................... Matthew 12
O Lord! Sovereign and Most Holy God! I acknowledge and worship you for you are holy, holy, holy and you alone are worthy! Help me to never lift my hand against the Lord’s anointed; but rather may I treat them with the utmost respect. Let there never be evil nor rebellion in my hand. You are my judge, O Lord.
You knew me before I was born; now concentrate me to fulfill the purpose you have for me. Teach me how to speak your word. Put your words into my mouth and in my hands, I pray. Help me to arise and dress myself to proclaim your word to others. You are with me, O Lord, to deliver me.
You, O Lord, are Lord of the Sabbath—and of every day! Thank you that you came and declared justice to the Gentiles. For in your name is my hope. Help me to bear good fruit for your glory. For I know that on the day of judgment I will give an account for everything that I have done. Help me to understand what you mean by ‘I desire mercy and not sacrifice!’ I ask these petitions in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
Prayer July 12 1 Samuel 25 .................... Jeremiah 2 ...................... Matthew 13
O Lord! Sovereign and Most Holy God! I acknowledge and worship you for you are holy, holy, holy and you alone are worthy! Now help me to hear the voice of the one that is trying to save me and help me to take action. Do not let me be blind to the deeds of those that are helping me, I pray; but let them be a wall to me.
May I never change my glory for that which does not profit. Let me not forsake the fountain of living waters and let me never hew cisterns for myself. Let me be your servant for you have broken my yoke and burst my bonds. I will bow down to you, O God. Nothing on this earth and no effort of man can remove the stain of my guilt—thank you for the blood of the Lamb of God that covers my sins.
Thank you it has been given to me to know the secrets of the kingdom of heaven; and that you spoke to us through parables. Help my eyes to see and my ears to hear what you are showing me and what you are speaking to me! Sow in my heart the words of the kingdom. Help me to both hear and understand your word. May the fruit that I bear please you, O Lord. I ask these petitions in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
Prayer July 13 1 Samuel 26-27 .............. Jeremiah 3 ...................... Matthew 14
O Lord! Sovereign and Most Holy God! I acknowledge and worship you today for you are holy, holy, holy and you alone are worthy! Let me have the heart of your servant David and remember that vengeance is yours alone O Lord. May I never raise my hand against your anointed. Let my life be valued much in your sight and deliver me out of all tribulation, I pray.
I have sinned and been faithless—forgive me Lord and heal my faithlessness. I give my whole heart to you Lord. You are merciful, O Lord, be not angry with me. Give me a shepherd after your own heart who will feed me with knowledge and understanding.
Feed me today with the bread of life I pray. May I follow your example and find a place alone to pray. Help me to spend quality time with you O Lord! May I always walk toward you with no doubt in my heart; but I will reach for your hand if I start to sink. And may I always find the hem of your garment when I am sick! I ask these petitions in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
Prayer July 14 1 Samuel 28 .................... Jeremiah 4 ...................... Matthew 15
O Lord! Sovereign and Most Holy God! I acknowledge and worship you for you are holy, holy, holy and you alone are worthy! Help me to obey your voice and word so that in the end I will be found faithful. I pray that your Spirit is always in me and with me. I seek counsel from you and from no other.
Help me to break up our my fallow ground and to remove the foreskin of my heart lest your wrath go forth like fire! Keep me from your judgments, I pray. Cleanse my heart and do not let any evil thought lodge within me. Woe is me if I do not keep your statutes and commands.
May I never break the commandment of God for the sake of the traditions of men. It is vain to worship you while the commandments of men are being taught as your doctrines. May my heart be yours and may I worship you in spirit and truth—teaching your commandments and not the commandments of men. Let the words and thoughts that proceed from my heart be your words and thoughts, O Lord. I ask these petitions in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
Prayer July 15 1 Samuel 29-30 .............. Jeremiah 5 ...................... Matthew 16
O Lord! Sovereign and Most Holy God! I acknowledge and worship you today for you are holy, holy, holy and you alone are worthy! Lord, it is a good thing to be rejected by those that are not yours. For every situation may I seek counsel from you, O Lord.
When I do wrong, help me to be repentant, Lord. I will not embrace any foreign gods. Lord keep your judgments from me, I pray. I fear my creator who made the seas and keeps them in perpetual barriers that they cannot pass over. Keep me inside the boundary of your love. Do not let sin keep your good from me, O Lord.
Help me to be able to read the signs of the time—to be aware of false teachings. I seek your word only; for you are the Christ, the Son of the living God. Help me to strengthen myself in the Lord my God. With your help, I will seek truth and not be swayed by false prophets and teachers that teach at the direction of men. When you come may I be found faithful. I ask these petitions in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
Prayer July 16 1 Samuel 31 .................... Jeremiah 6 ...................... Matthew 17
O Lord! Sovereign and Most Holy God! I acknowledge and worship you for you are holy, holy, holy and you alone are worthy! Let my life not end in vain. But rather let me hear well done good and faithful servant!
Let my ears listen and my heart delight at your word, Lord. I live in a world where many are greedy for unjust gain. Lord, do not let me seek unjust gain, I pray. Show me the ancient paths where the good way is and help me to walk in it so that I may find rest for my soul.
Help me to do as you have commanded me, to listen to Jesus. Give me faith like a grain of mustard seed. I will use my faith for your glory. Help me to keep your word fresh in my heart and to abstain from evil. May I see you in your glory. I ask these petitions in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
Prayer July 17 2 Samuel 1 ...................... Jeremiah 7 ...................... Matthew 18
O Lord! Sovereign and Most Holy God! I acknowledge and worship you today for you are holy, holy, holy and you alone are worthy! Just as Saul and Jonathon fell in battle so will all, both good and evil, fall. May I lament those that have fallen. My prayer is that I fall with the just.
Help me to amend my ways and my deeds so that I please you in both my actions and my worship. I will obey you, O Lord. I know that to obey your voice is better than burnt offerings and sacrifice. May I never be swayed by deceptive words. Help me to walk in all the way that you command me that it may be well with my soul.
Lord, let me have the humility and trust of a small child. May I help those children that you place in my path. Do not let me give in to temptation to sin. Forgive me every trespass and help me to always forgive others. Help me to agree together with other prayer warriors on those things I ask of you. Be among us O Lord! I ask these petitions in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
Prayer July 18 2 Samuel 2 ...................... Jeremiah 8 ...................... Matthew 19
O Lord! Sovereign and Most Holy God! I acknowledge and worship you today for you are holy, holy, holy and you alone are worthy! May I always be loyal to you O Lord and may I be blessed by you. You are my King and ruler of my life. Today I give obeisance to you, my King! I long for your righteous rule. Now show kindness and truth to me, I pray.
Lord, when I despair of life, let it not be from evil I have done; but rather that the evil around me causes my soul to be sorrowful. Men may cry ‘Peace, Peace;’ but there is no peace until you bring peace. Now let not the harvest past or the summer end without me being saved.
Let me be humble and trusting as a little child and help me to never hinder them; but rather that I will help little children find you! Lord I ask that I am never sorrowful at your commands; but rather I joyfully obey all that you say. I ask these petitions in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
Prayer July 19 2 Samuel 3 ...................... Jeremiah 9 ...................... Matthew 20
O Lord! Sovereign and Most Holy God! I acknowledge and worship you for you are holy, holy, holy and you alone are worthy! Help me Lord to be gentle and seek to please you; for I know that the Lord will repay the evildoer according to his wickedness. May I never be guilty of being an evildoer, I pray.
Let my boast be that I know you; that you are Lord and that you practice steadfast love, justice, and righteousness; and that you delight in them. Help me to be circumcised in my heart that I may please you, O Lord.
Let me not stand idle all of my days; but rather send me into your vineyard, I pray. Teach me how to be a faithful servant, how to serve others—that I may be found to be a faithful servant to all that you place in my path. Thank you for giving your Son for my sins. I ask for every petition in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
Prayer July 20 2 Samuel 4-5 .................. Jeremiah 10 .................... Matthew 21
O Lord! My creator—sovereign and Most Holy God! I worship you today for you alone are worthy and you alone are holy! You, O Lord, are my King! Help me to be a man after your heart. You have broken through my enemies before me, like a breakthrough of water. Thank you for victory over evil.
O Lord, I know the customs of peoples are vanity. And I know that all idols are worthless, a work of delusion and that they cannot do good or evil. They will perish for there is no breath in them. Keep me from idolatry I pray. It is not my way to direct my own steps; but it is you O Lord that directs my steps. Correct me O Lord not in your anger but in justice lest your bring me to nothing.
Hosanna to the Son of God. Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord. Hosanna in the highest! Cleanse me—the temple of the Lord that I may be pure before you. May I be a house of prayer! Forgive me my every sin. I ask these things in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
Prayer July 21 2 Samuel 6 ...................... Jeremiah 11 ..................... Matthew 22
O Lord! Hear my prayer today. You alone are sovereign and holy and you alone are worthy! I am blessed when your covenant dwells with me. I rejoiced and danced in the Spirit when you placed your new covenant in me! Before you, O Lord, let me undignified and humble in my own sight; for you alone are exalted.
Keep the ‘ark’ of the new covenant in its place in my heart that I might not sin against you. I thank you that your Son gave his life for my sins and that the devices and schemes of men did not cut him off from the land of the living and neither did it cause his name to be remembered no more; but rather he is alive and reigns and his name is above every name! I remember his name!
May I be called and chosen to be a part of your wedding and your wedding feast! Help me to render to God those things that are his—to love the Lord my God with all my heart and with all of my soul and with all of my mind! And my neighbor as myself. I ask these things in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
Prayer July 22 2 Samuel 7 ...................... Jeremiah 12 .................... Matthew 23
O Lord! I worship you, my creator, sovereign and most Holy God! You alone are worthy and holy. May the Lord be with me to do all that is in my heart. Plant me and help me to produce fruit. Give me rest from my enemies. May my purpose be to keep this temple that you dwell in holy and pure before you, O Lord. You established the kingdom of your servant forever. I long for your righteous rule!
Righteous are you, O Lord. You know me, you see me, and test my heart toward you. May my heart always be turned toward you. Now help me to diligently learn all of your ways, I pray.
Let me hear your word and keep it—and not follow man! Help me to have a servants heart and be humble before you and before all men. Let your Word be in my mouth and may my heart be yours. Help me to seek the shelter of your wings. I ask these petitions in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
Prayer July 23 Samuel 8-9 .................. Jeremiah 13 .................... Matthew 24
O Lord! Sovereign and Most Holy God! I acknowledge and worship you for you are holy, holy, holy and you alone are worthy! When the line is drawn to separate those destined for death and those for life, help me to be on the side destined for life. Let justice and equity rule in my life, I pray. And may I always show kindness to others. Now I dedicate the things that you have blessed me with to your kingdom and for your glory.
I will cling to you O Lord—to your name. Praise and glory belong to you. Let me hear and give ear and be not proud when you have spoken. I will give you glory. Let your light shine on my paths. So that my feet do not stumble.
May I never be led astray by false prophets and false doctrines. Help me to endure to the end, I pray. Help to be ready when you come on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. Let me learn the lesson of the fig tree—to know the signs of the end of time. I will stay awake for I do not know the day my Lord is coming. Come quickly Lord Jesus! I ask these things in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
Prayer July 24 2 Samuel 10 .................... Jeremiah 14 .................... Matthew 25
O Lord! My creator—sovereign and most holy God, I worship you for you alone are worthy! May I never worship creation or creature! I will be of good courage for I know that my God will do what seems good to him. He fights my battles for me. May I never fail to repay kindness with kindness.
I acknowledge my wickedness and my iniquities—I have sinned against you; but do not spurn me; rather keep your covenant with me. You are in me and near me. I am called by your name. Do not leave me, I pray. Help me to restrain my feet from wandering from you, O Lord. Keep me on the straight way. For my hope is in you alone, O God.
Help me to keep oil in my lamp, Lord. May I be found to be a good and faithful servant; that I can inherit the kingdom prepared for me from the foundation of the world. I ask these petitions in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
Prayer July 25 2 Samuel 11 .................... Jeremiah 15 .................... Matthew 26
O Lord Jesus! Savior and Author of my salvation—I worship you today for you alone are worthy! Let not my eyes cause me to sin—so that I displease you, Lord; but help me, I pray, to walk in righteousness before you.
Your words were found and I ate them, and your words became to me a joy and the delight of my heart, for I am called by your name, O Lord, God of hosts. Restore me—help to utter what is precious—be my mouth I pray. Deliver me from the hand of the wicked and redeem me from the grasp of the ruthless.
Your word, O Lord, is the bread of life. The cup is your blood, the covenant which was poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins. Forgive me my sins as I forgive others—I pray. Thank you for your Son that redeemed me. I ask that your heart never turn from me. I ask these things in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
Prayer July 26 2 Samuel 12 .................... Jeremiah 16 .................... Matthew 27
O Lord! Sovereign and Most Holy God! I worship you for you alone are holy and you alone are worthy! Keep me that I never despise your word and do evil. You are my strength, and my stronghold, my refuge. We cannot bring back those that are gone; but we can go to them. I long for that heavenly reunion with those that went before me.
Lord, do not take your peace from me. I desire your steadfast love and mercy—your grace. For I know that your eyes are on my ways! You are my strength and my stronghold. My refuge in the day of trouble. I know your power and your might. I know that you are Lord!
You are my God—the one true God. You are my salvation—purchased when you died on the cross. Jesus, you are the Son of God. Thank you for your gift of eternal life. I pray for these things in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
Prayer July 27 2 Samuel 13 .................... Jeremiah 17 .................... Matthew 28
O Lord! I worship you for you alone are worthy and holy. You are sovereign and you are my creator. Keep me that I do not violate your laws and statutes. May I always remember that vengeance is yours, O Lord.
Lord, may only your word be written with a pen of iron, that has a point of diamond, on the tablet of my heart. May I never be cursed for trusting in man and making flesh my strength. Keep my heart turned toward you, I pray. I trust in you O Lord—you are my Rock. Search my heart and test my mind and give to me according to my ways and according to the fruit of my deeds.
Thank you for the resurrection and the hope that it gives me. Thank you for salvation. I rejoice for you are risen. Help me to teach others—to observe all that you have commanded me to do. I believe that you are with me until the end of the age. Then may I be with yours forever! I ask these petitions in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

O Lord! I am unworthy to call on your name! Forgive my every sin. We must all die; we are like water spilled on the ground that cannot be gathered up again. Help me live in such a way that I will not be an outcast and expelled before you; but rather that I will inherit eternal life. And find favor in your sight. Help me to be able to discern, with wisdom, what is good.
I am clay in your hands O Lord. Rework me as it seems good to you. You are the potter. I am the clay. Make me a vessel of honor in your house.
Help me to encourage those around me. I am not ashamed of the gospel; for in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith for faith. Thank you for your eternal power and divine nature. Now may I be a doer of the word and not a hearer only. Help me to—in patience—seek for your acceptance that I may be given eternal life. I ask these petitions in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
Prayer July 29 2 Samuel 15 .................... Jeremiah 19 .................... Romans 3-4
O Lord! Sovereign and Most Holy God! I worship you today for you alone are worthy! Let no man steal my heart O Lord; but keep my heart sealed with your name. Help me to find favor in your sight, O God—that I might dwell in your presence forever.
I was broken like a clay flask and no man could put me together again. I could not be mended. You, the master potter mended me. Now help me that I am always humble before you, O Lord. And never let me be stiff-necked so that I refuse your words and your correction.
Help me to be justified in my words that I might prevail when I am judged—to live by faith that I may please you. Thank you that you justified me by grace—your gift to me—your steadfast love and abundant mercy. Thank you that I am redeemed by your precious blood. Blessed I am for my lawless deeds are forgiven and my sins are covered. Blessed I am for the Lord no longer counts my sins. I ask these petitions in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
Prayer July 30 2 Samuel 16 .................... Jeremiah 20 .................... Romans 5-6
O Lord! I worship you today for you alone are worthy! Help me Lord to seek counsel only from those esteemed by you—those whose advice is as if one had inquired at the oracle of God. Your word is my guide—your statutes—your rules—and your commandments. Then I know that you will repay me good for the cursing of others.
Ignite a fire in my heart and shut it up in my bones that I cannot put it out. When you are with me, O Lord my enemies stumble and are overcome. Test me, see if I am righteous and see if my heart and my mind are right before you, O God. Then I will sing praises to you, O Lord.
Thank you for justification by faith and access by faith into the grace in which I stand and in which I rejoice in the hope of the glory of God. For you showed your love for me while I was still a sinner. But now I have been justified by your blood. Thank you that I will be saved by His life. My hope is that I will be united with you in a resurrection like yours. So help me to crucify myself daily that I might die with you! I ask these petitions in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
Prayer July 31 2 Samuel 17 .................... Jeremiah 21 .................... Romans 7-8
O Lord! I worship you today for you alone are worthy! Let not your wrath or your fury be unleashed against me O Lord! I pray today that you will defeat the counsel of the enemy; for I seek counsel from you only! Now hide me from those who seek to harm me. Give me provision when I am hungry and weary and thirsty in a wilderness—that I may be refreshed to withstand evil.
I trust that your outstretched hand and strong arm is never against me, O God. When you set before me the way of life and the way of death, may I always choose life! Help me to escape your anger, fury, and great wrath. Do not set your face against me O Lord, I pray.
For I know that nothing good dwells in my flesh. I have the desire to do what is right, but not the ability to carry it out. I need you, O Lord. Forgive the sin that dwells within me so that I might do the good the Spirit has for me to do. Now set my mind on the Spirit that is life and peace. Let the Spirit bear witness with my spirit that I am your child. I ask these petitions in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
